LGBT in social media

  LGBT could be a very sensitive topic to some people and today we are going to talk about how the Internet, or social media can cause people to become LGBT. Internet has various kind of platforms and many of them could make people become LGBT.

   Platforms like Instagram, Face book and Twitter are platforms where trending topics will frequently get posted and no doubt that there will be some bad topics. Children who gets exposed to these kind of things without the supervision of adults could make them want to experience it out of curiosity. Children do not have the mind to decide what is wrong and what is not and therefore they will follow whatever they see and hear. Adults could also go LGBT through social media, if some person who is a LGBT and starts to interact with you and slowly convince you to go LGBT too, this shows that not only children but also adults need to be careful when using social media.

   Celebrities could also promote LGBT. Recently there was one man, Holland, who just debuted as a K-Pop artist and he is the first K-Pop artist to be gay openly and by being gay of course he supports LGBT. He could convince some people to be his fans, and most fans will always follow in the footsteps of their idols and could result in his fans to become LGBT.

   Movies, videos and even music might not look like one place where LGBT is promoted but it actually can! Like I said before, children who are vulnerable will learn form whatever they hear and see and without adults supervising, they will eventually follow. Lyrics of songs could promote LGBT, movies could have two people of the same gender fall in love with each other and this all might not seem true but it is all already out there in the Internet.

   Automatically as Muslims we would think that LGBT is wrong and one of the reasons is if the same genders marry there is absolutely no way to reproduce and eventually human population will decrease drastically if many people continue to become LGBT. But that doesn't mean we should hate on people who is LGBT, they might have some problems or they might not have anyone to teach them whats right that lead them to LGBT. We should treat them like humans just like us and advice and teach them whats right but we must also be careful not to have the opposite effect where they convince us to be like them.
