Meaning of a song
I have always liked songs and musics and I believe every song has a message its trying to deliver. For the song above, it is an old song but I like it because it gives me motivational strength when I needed it. So I'll try to show what I understand about the song.
During the part "Hope when you take that jump, you don't feel the fall" it is trying to say that whatever you want to do not think about the bad side of it. "Hope when the water rises, you built a wall" means when you face challenges, giving up should never be an option instead you try to overcome it. "Hope that you fall in love and it hurts so bad. The only way you can know is to give it all you have" whatever you do in your life you should give it all you have even if its hard as it will be worth it.
"Hope when the moment comes, you'll say I, I did it all I, I did it all I owned every second that this world could give I saw so many places the things that I did. Yeah, worth every broken bone I swear I lived" as you get older you will not be able to do the things you once were able to do so you should do it all while you have the time and before you die you will be satisfied with every second of your life. Do not make the pain not worth it by giving up instead do it even if it hurts and be satisfied in the end for doing it.
For me this song is about living life to the fullest, never give up and do everything you want. I really feel this song should really get the attention it deserves, I believe this song could motivate others in life just like how it did to me. That's all from me, until we meet again.

Hidden lessons of the ASIQS race.
Last Friday marked the last day of the ASIQS race. It has been four weeks since it started. Apparently as i was told, the ASIQS race is hidden with many lessons, and here I will be presenting what I think the hidden lessons are.
Being familiar with the strengths and weaknesses of the opponents have been a really good skill that I have used throughout the four weeks. Once you know their weak spot it would be easy to face them and since there are time where you could take members from others its best to know their ace too. So therefore I think one of the of the lessons in the ASIQS race is to study your surroundings instead of staying in your own bubble.
Having a great leader to lead the group is a very essential part of succeeding in any tasks. So therefore in the ASIQS race choosing your leader is an important thing. In the ASIQS race, each week the leader will get an extra five points and I realized that it's good that when we were choosing our leaders no one wanted to be the leader merely for extra points but for taking up the challenge of leading the group. After picking the leader it is very important to not disobey their orders, by choosing them as your leaders, you are giving him the right to make decisions for the whole group. Having the groups divided and astray will not only make the group not work efficiently, you will also make the jobs of the leaders a lot more harder like mentioned in a hadith
Ibn Umar reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Listening to and obeying the leader is an obligation upon a Muslim, whether he likes it or dislikes it, as long as he is not commanded to disobey Allah. If he is commanded to disobey, then there is no listening or obedience.”
In conclusion what I think the second hidden lesson is to choose the right person to be your leader/imam and for the leader is to fulfill their duties. Also not to have other reasons of wanting to be a leader other than leading others.

LGBT in social media
LGBT could be a very sensitive topic to some people and today we are going to talk about how the Internet, or social media can cause people to become LGBT. Internet has various kind of platforms and many of them could make people become LGBT.
Platforms like Instagram, Face book and Twitter are platforms where trending topics will frequently get posted and no doubt that there will be some bad topics. Children who gets exposed to these kind of things without the supervision of adults could make them want to experience it out of curiosity. Children do not have the mind to decide what is wrong and what is not and therefore they will follow whatever they see and hear. Adults could also go LGBT through social media, if some person who is a LGBT and starts to interact with you and slowly convince you to go LGBT too, this shows that not only children but also adults need to be careful when using social media.
Celebrities could also promote LGBT. Recently there was one man, Holland, who just debuted as a K-Pop artist and he is the first K-Pop artist to be gay openly and by being gay of course he supports LGBT. He could convince some people to be his fans, and most fans will always follow in the footsteps of their idols and could result in his fans to become LGBT.
Movies, videos and even music might not look like one place where LGBT is promoted but it actually can! Like I said before, children who are vulnerable will learn form whatever they hear and see and without adults supervising, they will eventually follow. Lyrics of songs could promote LGBT, movies could have two people of the same gender fall in love with each other and this all might not seem true but it is all already out there in the Internet.
Automatically as Muslims we would think that LGBT is wrong and one of the reasons is if the same genders marry there is absolutely no way to reproduce and eventually human population will decrease drastically if many people continue to become LGBT. But that doesn't mean we should hate on people who is LGBT, they might have some problems or they might not have anyone to teach them whats right that lead them to LGBT. We should treat them like humans just like us and advice and teach them whats right but we must also be careful not to have the opposite effect where they convince us to be like them. That's all from me for today and finally do be careful when surfing the Internet!

Mean in grouped distributions
Today I'll be talking about how to find the mean in grouped distributions. I'm sure most people would know how to search mean. You need to search the sum of the datas and divide it by the number of values like this:
Q) 3, 1, 5, 7, 13, 9, 12, 3, 18, 11, 2, 18, 12, 19, 20, 5, 8, 17, 14 and 16. These are the scores of a video game for 20 people. Find the mean from their scores.
First you add up the numbers: 3+1+5+7+13+9+12+3+18+11+2+18+12+19+20+5+8+17+14+16
=213
Then you divide it by the number of values: 213/20 = 10.65
So therefore the mean is 10.65.
Then you make a grouped frequency table:

So 4 people got scores between 1 and 4, another 4 got scores between 5 and 8, etc..
Now that you know how to find the mean you might ask what mean in grouped distributions mean.
In the procedure above you could know what are the scores of each person but what if the only information you received was the table. Could you still search for the mean? Not accurately but you can estimate and that's what you call finding mean in group distributions.
Firstly you'll have to find the midpoints of the score. To find the midpoint you'll have to add the two numbers and divide by two:
1+4 = 5 5/2 = 2.5
5+8 = 13 13/2 = 6.5
9+12 = 21 21/2 = 10.5
13+16 = 29 29/2 = 14.5
17+20 = 37 37/2 = 18.5
Then you'll have to multiply each midpoint with the frequencies:
2.5 x 4 = 10
6.5 x 4 = 26
10.5 x 4 = 42
14.5 x 3 = 43.5
18.5 x 5 = 92.5
and add them all together: 10+26+42+43.5+92.5 = 214
then divide by the number of people or the sum of the frequencies which is 20:
214/20 = 10.7
You can see that it's very close to the answer that we got earlier. So that's how you find the meaning grouped distributions. I hope this has helped you understanding means in grouped distributions a bit. I hope to see you guys again!

The war of Uhud
Greeting, in today's post I'll be telling 10 facts of the war of Uhud that you might have known. Let's start with the first fact. Did you know, one of the reasons the war started was because the Quraisy wanted to retrieve the route to Syams (where the trading market is). The Quraisy in Mecca would need to pass through Medina to get to to Syams (which in the middle of the Roman empire and Persia), but because they do not want to pay tax to the Muslims in Medina for passing through, they decided to start a war and wanted to make Madinah as their property so they do not have to pay.
While the Quraisy was moving to Medina, the Muslims had a spy spying on them, he was Saidina Abbas R.A. He was Prophet Muhammad's uncle.
At the morning of the war, there was one man who converted to Islam.
The Muslims left for Uhud on Friday after the Friday prayers and fought on a Saturday afternoon. This is during the month of Syawal.
When the Muslims were heading to Uhud, there was one man name Abdullah bin Ubayy decided to betray the Muslim army and pull himself out from the army and 299 other people followed him. These people are called the Munafiks, they pretend to be a Muslim but they don't do the things required to be a Muslim. This has cause the Muslim army to decrease by 300 people even before the war started.
Rasullulah offered his army to use his sword and Zubair bin Awwam wanted it but Rasullah gave one condition, it is ti us the sword forever until it is broken. After that, Abu Durjanah accepted the condition and he was the one to get the sword.
Rasullulah was protected by nine people, seven ansars and two sahabats. They were assigned to help Rasulullah escape after they realised the muslims were losing. The ansar decided to be the decoys but the kafir was clever enough and got to Rasulullah anyways. The seven ansars were believed to died in matyr.
After Rasulullah cried, the Jabal Uhud also cried and turned reddish to represent blood. It is said that Jabal Uhud will be one of the mountains in jannah.
When Rasulullah checked the army before the battle started, he found underage kids in the army. They wanted to contribute but Rasulullah said you have to be above 15 year old to participate so four of them had to return but some were accepted and one of them was Rafiq bin Khadij. He was accepted because of his exceptional archery skills.
After the war, they started collecting the corpses of the Muslims and found one body that was in really bad condition that no one could recognize who it was, but miraculously his sister recognized him by looking at his finger.

Majulah Singapura!
Today is the 9th of August which marks the 53rd national day of Singapore. You know sometimes us Singaporeans always look at Singapore's bad side that definitely can be improved but when it is national day season we all will get together as one and celebrate this memorable occasion. That's what makes this day special, we'll all be able to truly see the beautiful side of Singapore.
It's a shame this year I won't be celebrating it in Singapore. Some of my friends will be performing in the NDP this year, I hope I'll also be able to do the same thing one day. It just makes me happy to watch the videos of NDP even though I don't attend it.
